Position: Senior Security Architect
Location: Oakland County , Michigan, USA
Duration: Long Term Contract
Responsibilities:
Define, operationalize, and document the security architecture and assessment function.
Develop, standardize, and document reference architectures, specifically zero-trust architecture.
Determine and apply appropriate controls and criteria for security architecture reviews.
Elevate the security engineering team through mentoring and knowledge transfer.
Security Engineering:
- Secure enterprise information by determining security requirements; planning, implementing, and testing security systems.
- Prepare security standards, policies, and procedures.
- Plan security systems by evaluating network and security technologies; developing requirements for LANs, WANs, VPNs, routers, firewalls, and related security and network devices.
- Design public key infrastructures (PKIs), including use of certification authorities (CAs) and digital signatures as well as hardware and software; adhering to industry standards on-prem, remote (DR), and cloud environments.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Senior Security Architect with a deep understanding of security principles and best practices.
- Strong knowledge of security technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, encryption, and identity and access management.
- Experience in designing and implementing zero-trust architectures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Certification(s) in relevant security domains (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA) preferred.
